A NOTE FROM TYLER'S MOM:
I am so pleased to take part in this mission of banning synthetic drugs with all the parents and loved ones who have lost as I have, and with those who are brave enough to share their stories and experiences for the sake of this effort. My son Tyler was my best friend, the best person I knew. He did not deserve this and neither do any of our children. It is in his honor that I have dedicated the rest of my life to fight for this cause, to help those who are suffering in any way. The Tyler J. Smith The Purple Project is dedicated to those people; whatever it takes, behind the scenes or testifying to get laws passed, or talking one on one, spreading awareness and prevention and most importantly, HOPE. It is for Tyler, and it is because of his love for his friends and family and all people that we speak for him and share his story.

THE PURPLE PROJECT:
Synthetic Drug Awareness and Suicide Prevention.
The purple project was created by the family and friends of Tyler J. Smith. We are here to share Tyler's story and bring a message of HOPE.
We are dedicated to bringing awareness and support to the community and people of all ages about the dangers of synthetic marijuana and teen suicide.
We have also been working with local legislature to manufacture and admit into law "Tyler's Law"- A legal mandate against all those selling synthetic drugs of any kind. We have been successful in this first mission and "Tyler's Law" has gone into effect!
The purple project works closely with State and Federal law makers and officials to pass effective legislation regarding the banning and manufacturing of synthetic drugs. We also work with the FDA, the FTC, and the Congressman to continue to fight this War on Synthetics. We are in the process of working toward passing lb811: an update to "Tyler's Law" banning the latest synthetic drugs in Nebraska.
We provide confidential assistance to anyone who contacts us. Presentations, classes, interventions, small groups, large groups, one on one support and empowering people of all ages to say no to drugs.
